Terms for Edupah Scribe

• Who it is for: teachers. It runs on Telegram and is in a live pilot, so access may be limited.
• What you send: only papers and notes you have the right to copy. Do not send photos that show pupils' names or other personal details.
• Paying: pay as you go from your Scribe credit, at the prices shown in the bot. The price of a paper is the price on the day it starts.
• Your credit: your Scribe credit is held in cedis. You add to it with Mobile Money top-ups through Paystack. We will tell you in the bot at least 7 days before a price goes up.
• Plans: optional, coming with the next version of Scribe, and shown in the bot with their price and pages.
• Changes: the first 3 changes to each paper are free. Changes that fix our own mistakes are always free.
• Free credit: new teachers get GHS 5 of starter credit. When a teacher you invite has their first paper delivered after paying, you get GHS 1. Both are free credit, as set out under "Refunds" below.
• Check your document: Scribe uses AI and can make mistakes. Read every paper before you print or share it.
• Your files: finished papers stay in "My files" for up to one year after you last use them, then they are archived. Keep your own copy.

Refunds

• Papers: once we start work on a paper, it is not refunded.
• Plans: a plan starts the moment you pay, because you ask us to start it then. Once it has started it is not refunded, even if you do not use all the pages. Unused pages end when the plan ends, plus 48 hours, unless you renew within those 48 hours and they roll over.
• Credit you buy: it does not expire, has no cash value, and cannot be moved to another account or person. Once you use any of a top-up, that top-up is not refunded. If you have not used any of it, you can ask for it back within 7 days of paying, and we return it in full to the number you paid from. We never close your account for not being used while it still holds credit you bought.
• Free credit (starter, invite and other promotions): a gift from us. It has no cash value, is never refunded or paid out, and ends on the date shown when you get it. We may remove free credit given by mistake or gained by misuse.
• Our mistakes: if we charge you twice, charge you more than our price, charge you for a paper we did not deliver, or cannot provide something you paid for, tell us at any time and we will put it right. We return the money the way you paid it (credit back to your balance, Mobile Money back to your number) within 7 days of confirming the mistake.
• If we close Scribe, or close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund your unused bought credit and the unused part of any plan.
• Your rights: nothing in these terms takes away any right to cancel or to a refund that you have under Ghanaian law, including the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772).

Privacy for Edupah Scribe

From Telegram

On Telegram, Edupah Scribe receives your Telegram user ID, name and username. Scribe is coming to WhatsApp: when you use it there, it will receive your phone number and WhatsApp name, and we will use your phone number to link your WhatsApp and Telegram so you can continue the same work on either.

What you send

Photos of exam papers and lesson notes, PDF files, voice notes, typed messages, and the choices you make (class, subject and topics).

What Scribe makes

The Word or PDF documents it returns to you, and your saved settings such as font, size and layout.

Credit

Your Scribe credit balance, your Mobile Money top-ups through Paystack, and any starter or invite credit.

Surveys

Your answers, if you choose to answer a survey.

Usage

A record of each job (pages and cost) so we can bill you correctly, fix problems and improve Scribe.

AI

Your photos, files and text are sent to Anthropic, whose Claude AI models read them and write your document. Anthropic handles this data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Where

On our server in Sweden. Your messages travel through Telegram.

How long

Your finished papers stay in "My files" for up to one year after you last use them, then they are archived. Your photos are removed within about 30 days.

Delete your data from Edupah Scribe

You have two choices.

• Delete my papers and photos: we delete from our server the photos, files and voice notes you sent, the documents Scribe made for you and your chat history with the bot. Your account, settings and credit stay.
• Close my account: we also delete your account and saved settings. Before we close it, we tell you your credit balance and wait for you to confirm. Credit cannot be moved to another account. Any credit or plan pages left when the account closes end and are not refunded, except a top-up you paid for in the last 7 days and have not used, which we offer back to you, or where the law gives you a refund. You can use your credit first.

To ask for either, email info@zedeks.com with the subject "Delete my data", your Telegram username and the choice you want. If your email does not ask us to close your account, we delete your papers and photos only, and your account and credit stay.

Copies sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, are kept and deleted under Anthropic's own terms. Deleting the chat in Telegram on your phone does not delete our copy.
