How to ask us to delete your data

1. Email info@zedeks.com with the subject "Delete my data".
2. Say which product it is about (for example SMSGist, GyalaOS or Edupah Scribe), or "WhatsApp" if you messaged us there.
3. Include the detail we know you by: your account email, phone number, Telegram username or WhatsApp number.
4. If you can, send it from that email address or phone number, so we can check the request comes from you.

If you cannot email, call us on +233 59 887 5617 and we will help you make the request.

Deleting your data is free.

What happens next

1. We reply to confirm we have your request within 3 working days.
2. If we need to, we ask you to confirm who you are. We never ask for your password.
3. We delete your personal information from the product within 30 days of your request.
4. We email or message you to confirm it is done, and tell you about anything we had to keep and why.

What we may have to keep

• Payment, invoice and tax records, for as long as Ghanaian law requires.
• Information we need to settle a dispute, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
• Any copy in a backup, until that backup is overwritten or removed.
• Totals that no longer identify you, such as the number of pages typed in a month.

Messages you sent on WhatsApp or Telegram

Deleting a chat in WhatsApp or Telegram removes it from your phone only. It does not remove the copy we received. Use the steps above to ask us to delete it, and give us the phone number or Telegram username you used.

Meta (WhatsApp) and Telegram keep their own records under their own policies. To delete those, use the settings in WhatsApp or Telegram, or contact them.

If your data came to us through an organisation

If a school, a shop or a business that sends messages added your information to one of our products, that organisation controls it and we act on its instructions. Please ask the organisation to delete it. If you write to us instead, we will pass your request to the organisation and tell you we have done so.

The website

To delete a message you sent through our contact form, or to stop newsletter emails, email info@zedeks.com. We delete it from our mailbox and from our SMSGist message history.
